Previous Aerial Experience:

For new students with previous aerial experience, we require an assessment to determine level placement. This is a 20-minute assessment for $20.

*Level changes will occur with instructor approval and usually at the turn of a term. Most students remain at the same level for 1-2 years as there is a lot of vocabulary to learn and strength to build at all levels.

Intro to Aerial:

we offer this level to all youth, tween and teen students brand new to aerial. This is a mixed age class and gives students an introduction to the rules of the studio, safety principles, basic conditioning work on and off the floor and the foundational skills needed to learn aerial. Students will use silks, slings and low-fly trapeze as training tools.

Level 1 Aerial:

Use of slings and low-fly trapeze for conditioning, focus on skill development on silks. Must demonstrate ability to climb, foot lock on silks and knee tuck on trapeze. Instructor approval or assessment required.

Level 2 Aerial:

Must have double foot lock, invert strength and climbing proficiency to move to level 2. Instructor approval or assessment required.

Level 3/4 Aerial:

Must have cross-back straddle invert, super loop, straddle invert from a climb and hip key to move to level 3. Instructor approval or assessment required.

Specialty Apparatus Classes:

Level 1 Trapeze:

This specialty apparatus class will focus on strength and foundational skills on the low-fly trapeze. We teach this class on a trapeze bar that hangs about forehead height and is connected to the rigging by a single point. Static, swinging and spinning will take you off the ground and through the air. This is a great class to add to your aerial training.

Level 1 Lyra:

Also known as a "hoop", the lyra is a circular bar apparatus that spins and hangs static. This class teaches the basic poses and maneuvers to work from. It is a wonderful complement to a student's aerial training as it expands aerial knowledge and increases strength. All levels welcome.

Acro:

Acro class is a combination of flexibility, strength, tumbling and acrobatic partnering. If you're serious about aerial training, acro will increase your skills by increasing your flexibility in the air, making you more agile and fluid in your movement, contributing to overall strength and giving you experience with partner skills. All levels welcome.

Homeschool Aerial Basics: Grades 1-6

An aerial basics class just for homeschool kiddos. This class currently runs as a 4-week session. We will begin class with a group warm up (and sometimes a game!) and then learn the fundamentals of body agility, spatial awareness and strength through a variety of training both on the floor and in the air.

*if the time and dates don't work for you, we would be open to considering adding another daytime class with a commitment of 5 students registering. Gather some friends and email us with a class time of preference.

Boys Climb and Fly: Age 7-11

While boys are welcome in our standard skills class, this is a specialized, mixed-age class where boys can burn energy using a variety of aerial and ground apparatus to climb, tumble, race and more in the form of strength-building, obstacle courses and fitness challenges. Think aerial meets ninja meets parkour meets energy-burn.

Currently on hold, email to be placed on an interest list

Specialty apparatus: Occasionally we will offer workshops to learn skills on other apparatus, such as lyra. Private lessons are available on the apparatus of choice.
