"Dress Rehearsal"
We do not have an actual FULL dress rehearsal, but we will do a quick run through of the show order so students understand their entrances and how to be ready for their piece and how to bow at the end. This will be at 5:00pm on the first night of shows. It is REALLY important that students arrive ON TIME in full costume/hair/makeup to run this process.
if a student is late, he/she will likely be confused about the show in general that night - please be on time.
Ticket holders for these evening shows will be allowed in at 6:30 for the 7:00pm show. Please do not stay in our lobby, it will be very crowded. Thank you.
ARRIVE IN FULL COSTUME, HAIR AND MAKE UP
*ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE BODY TIGHTS UNDER THEIR COSTUME
*GIRLS: NO UNDIES UNDER COSTUMES PLEASE (NO PANTY LINES, THONG IS OK)
this applies to all ages, tights serve as undies
Below you will find specific hair and make up info for each class, please reference your class by day/time/coach to be sure you are looking at the correct group:
*if your child has more than one assigned hairstyle in the same show, email us and we will tell you which one to do.

MAKE UP NOTES:
Here is a tutorial on basic stage make up.
*this is just a sample, feel free top search for other videos, TONS avail on youtube
Most important: please make sure your child has:
eye shadow
eye liner
mascara
cheeks (more than you think)
lips - something more than neutral (pink, red, burgundy is good)
GLITTER: (we are fans of glitter, feel free to go crazy on this)
loose glitter or glitter gel is fine
glitter in hair is also fine
*if using loose glitter it sticks well if you use chapstick and then dab the glitter on or hairspray on the skin and then brush, sprinkle or lightly blow the glitter on (immediately) or spirit glue on skin and then brush or sprinkle the glitter on.
HAIR NOTES:
Scroll to bottom of page for hair image samples
You can find youtubes on all of these. Please reach out if you need assistance.

Suggested color: suntan, light suntan or whatever suits your skin tone
Convertible dance bra: works well under costumes with clear straps
BRAS:
we should not see bras, the straps either need to match the pattern of the costume or be clear
Our favorite: LINK (or girls cami version LINK)
Convertible dance bra: works well under costumes with clear straps

Student Drop Off Info / and what students do between shows
Students should be dropped off and can be checked in at the door at their "arrival time" on the schedule. We will have a door monitor to keep children from leaving without a parent.
Between shows, students can snack and hang out with friends. There is less than an hour between each show and the doors for the next show open a half hour before the next show, so students will be in their designated dressing room and will keep each other entertained.
What to Bring:
Students should bring a very small bag with an extra layer (zip sweatshirts work best) for in between show snacking to protect costumes, a few snacks, a water bottle and games or books for down time.
Can also bring things to touch up hair and make up , but we will be helping kids on site with this at each show.
Please do not bring: tons of sugary snacks, large bags, soda
Snacks and Food:
Some snacks will be provided by The Hive. (things like string cheese, veggies, popcorn, crackers, granola bars, yogurt)
Students are welcome to pack their own snacks.
****please remind your student to be tidy with food and wear a sweatshirt over costume when eating*****
